Location

Since the re-unification of Berlin, the administrative district of Pankow consists of the former districts of Pankow, Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee. It is situated in the north-east of central Berlin. Measured by area and population, Pankow is the second largest district of Berlin. The district of Weißensee is made up of four former districts namely Karow, Blankenburg, Heinersdorf and Weißensee. The white lake (Weissensee), which gave its name to the district and its surrounding park is a very popular place for recreation and leisure activities. The historical character of the area and it's architecture is still intact today. The area in the immediate vicinity of the property consists of three to five storey residential buildings, a commercial and retail zone and the Jewish cemetery of Berlin-Weißensee.
